  • Fall Semester 2018!

To our St. Joseph Parish, Catholic Campus Ministry and Corpus Christi Mission parishioners,

We, as St. Joseph Parish Staff, want to assure you that you are not alone in your feelings of sadness, confusion, anger, pain and/or disillusionment. We can sympathize with your emotions, emotions that are very raw for us also, and we want to walk through them together with you. We want to assure you that by the grace of God we will get through this. It will be with plenty of tears and it won’t be easy, but we can get through this together if we focus on God’s amazing grace. Last night Fr. Jeffrey Waldrep met with our staff, parish council, and finance council members to try to make some sense of all that is going on and to come up with a strategy in how to best serve the parishioners of St. Joseph and Corpus Christi Mission, both now, through this process of healing, and throughout our future as parish families. There is so much out there that is unknown, especially with an investigation that is currently ongoing so there is very little that we are able to speak about concerning the allegations. I know how frustrating that is to hear because you want answers (as do we). The commitment we made to the parish and finance council members is our commitment to our parishes - we will share with you the facts that are discovered, as we discover them. We will try to do so through email, Facebook, and in our bulletin, and do so as they happen.

I know this is easy to say and very difficult to do, as we call on the intercession of St. Joseph let us pray that our faith will not be shaken but become ever strong. It is in leaning on our faith, being loving in our responses and supporting one another that healing will abound.

Know that you are loved and that you are in our prayers.

    May God bless us all.

    St. Joseph Parish Staff
